Stores Reviews and Rates
Rating shops on Kompare consists of the opinions of users only. The Kompare team does not interfere with the store rating determined by the users.
I have reviewed a store, why is it not listed?
All reviews are sent to the Kompare content team first. Only reviews that have been approved by the content team will be posted. You can see the status of your reviews in the “My Kompare” section which will allow you to see if your review has been rejected, or approved.
Why was my store review rejected?
Common reasons that reviews are rejected are:
- The review contains personal insults, slurs, swearing, explicit language, threatening or inappropriate information, or content of a defamatory nature.
- The review contains personal information, phone numbers and email addresses
- The review contains allegations against individuals
- Not all the relevant information or documentation has been provided for Kompare to verify the interaction between yourself and the merchant
At any time, you are able to send the review through with the required changes that will allow the review to be published.
Do Kompare change the reviews of users?
No – Reviews posted on Kompare are posted as they are, without deleting, adding or modifying text.
How long will it take before my review is published?
Kompare makes every effort to post your review as soon as possible. In some cases, it could take a few days as the store has an opportunity to review and comment on the user review.
Why must I send Kompare a proof of purchase?
Kompare takes great care and effort in ensuring that the reviews published are real and reliable. The proof of purchase is required in order for us to verify that a purchase did occur.
How do I update a rejected review?
To update the review, you will have to click on “Submit Review”. The system will detect that you have already written a review for this store and will give you the original text, allowing you to edit it and send it again. You will not be able to change the rating given to the store, only the review itself.
